About Us

From a simple question to a mission that changes lives

Our Story

Dare To Dream Fund began with a deceptively simple question: Why do students drop out?

Our founders, Dawn Verdick and Nina Rosete, spent years working at the intersection of business strategy and social impact. Through their research and fieldwork, they arrived at a powerful insight: most young people don't lack dreams—they lack an educational and community environment effective enough to keep them on track.

Children dream naturally. They imagine becoming astronauts, doctors, artists, and leaders. But somewhere between that first spark of imagination and the reality of adulthood, too many young people lose their way—not because their dreams faded, but because no one helped them build a bridge from aspiration to action.

That realization became the foundation of Dare To Dream Fund. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Monterey, California, we set out to create that bridge: a structured, supportive pathway that helps every young person transform their dreams into achievable goals.

Children don't lack dreams. They lack the structured support to turn those dreams into plans, and those plans into reality.

Mission & Vision

What drives us forward every day

Our Mission

To create, develop, and deploy online and on-site solutions that improve the delivery of education and educational services. We work directly with students while also supporting the educators and community organizations that serve them, building systems that are sustainable, measurable, and accountable.

Our Vision

A world where every young person has the opportunity to explore their potential in school, work, and life. We envision communities where the support systems around students—schools, nonprofits, families—work together seamlessly to ensure no child falls through the cracks on their journey from dreams to achievement.

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we do

Dream Big

We believe every child's imagination is the starting point for something extraordinary. No dream is too ambitious when paired with the right support.

Plan Smart

Inspiration without structure fades. We teach young people to break big dreams into achievable milestones and build actionable roadmaps for their futures.

Act Now

The best plan is worthless without execution. We encourage students to take the first step today, building momentum through consistent, purposeful action.

Never Give Up

Setbacks are part of every journey. We cultivate resilience and persistence, ensuring students have the support system to keep going when challenges arise.
